Charlotte Kasle

KASLE, Charlotte I. - It is with mixed joy and sadness that the family of Charlotte I. Kasle announces the passing of our beautiful mother. Charlotte passed on Monday, August 5, 2019 at the age of 101 with her children in attendance. Charlotte will be lovingly remembered by her children, Franklin (Judith) Kasle, Jerome (Shaindel) Kasle, Joan (Allan Hertzenson) Kasle and Diane Kasle; grandchildren, Robert Kasle, Terri (Charles) Kasle-Lerose, Shimon Kasle, Lori (Noah Bradley) Kasle, David (Rivka) Kasle, Rebecca (Mike) Aloni, Elana Kasle, Joseph (Tzipi) Kasle, and Adam Hyland; 12 great-grandchildren. She was born April 19, 1918 in Toledo, OH, the daughter of William and Rebecca Lewis and moved to Flint at the age of 2. Charlotte was a graduate of Flint Central High School and married Louis Kasle on April 27, 1941. They were married 60 years when he preceded her in death. A Celebration of her wonderful life will be held 1:30 PM Thursday, August 8, 2019 at Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd., Flint with Rabbi Yisroel Weingarten and Mr. Leonard Meizlish officiating. Interment will follow at Machpelah Cemetery. Shiva Minyan will be held 7 PM Thursday, August 8, Sunday, August 11 and Monday, August 12 at Charlotte's home. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Congregation Beth Israel, McLaren Hospice, Chabad House Lubavitch of Eastern Michigan or the charity of one's choice. Charlotte was made comfortable by McLaren Hospice, especially, Makella and Kelly, other professional caregivers, Ladonna, Tianna, and Merlin and special care givers, Linda and Nancy. She was preceded in death by: her husband, Louis Kasle; beloved daughter, Noreen Kasle; parents, William and Rebecca Lewis; and brothers, Albert and Melvin Lewis. z'il May her memory be for a blessing.
