Charlotte Brundle

BRUNDLE Charlotte - Age 88, died peacefully on July 3, 2016 at home in Abbey Park. Charlotte was born January 1, 1928, in Detroit, Michigan, the daughter of Roderick and Grace Powell. Charlotte grew up in Detroit and graduated from Michigan State College in 1949. After college, Charlotte worked in Flint at A.C. Spark Plug, where she met her husband. She married Robert Brundle in 1951. They started their family in Flint and moved to Grand Blanc in 1964, where they raised four children. In 1990, Charlotte and Bob moved to Hudson, Florida and enjoyed retirement there for fifteen years. After his passing in 2008, Charlotte returned to Grand Blanc and resided at Abbey Park in Grand Blanc for eight years. For many years, Charlotte was an active member of First Presbyterian Church. She especially enjoyed playing bridge. She also enjoyed bowling, golfing, and traveling. She was a devoted Spartan fan and cheered on the Detroit Tigers. She was preceded in death by her parents, Roderick and Grace Powell, her brothers, Barton and Roderick, and her husband, Robert. She is survived by her four children, Robert (Kathryn) Brundle of Grand Blanc, Sue (Martin) McCaffrey of Zeeland, Ted (Lexa) Brundle of Grand Blanc, and Julie (Timothy) Byrd of Herndon, VA. She also leaves behind many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 on July 7, 2016 at Abbey Park, 3221 Baldwin Road, with a reception following. The family would like to thank the staff at Abbey Park and The Medical Team for their great care and support.
