Charles Joseph SNEATH

November 30, 1924 — September 4, 2012

SNEATH, Charles Joseph, "Chuck", age 87, of Hartland, passed away Tuesday, September 4, 2012 at home. Funeral Services will be 11AM Saturday, September 8, 2012 at Hartland United Methodist Church, 10300 Maple Rd., Hartland. The family will receive friends 10AM Saturday at church until time of service. Pastor Paul Gruenberg officiating. Interment will follow at Hartland Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-9PM Thursday and 3-9PM Friday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton. Contributions may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation or to Genesys Hospice. Chuck was born November 30, 1924 in Detroit, the son of the late Joseph Charles and Noa L. (Barber) Sneath. He married Nancy Jane Toy on August 1, 1959 in Fenton. Chuck was a 1942 graduate of Hartland High School. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in Wales during WWII. Chuck was employed as an Engineering Technician by General Motors at the Proving Grounds until his retirement in 1981. He enjoyed coaching softball, was past president of Hartland Athletic Association and a member of the American Legion Post #415. Chuck was a friendly guy who made friends easily. He will be missed dearly and loved forever. Surviving are his wife of 53 years, Nancy; 4 children, Judith Anne Dinneweth (Ed) of Oxford, William Charles Sneath (Sandra) of Hartland, Sean Andrew Sneath (Tracy) of Fowlerville, Melissa Katelyn Sneath of Hartland; 5 grandchildren, Arthur, Margaret, Austin Bradley, Airona, Destini; 4 great-grandchildren, Autumn, Kaylie, Logan, Danica; brother-in-law, Pete Wright of Fenton; and several nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by 2 sons, Robert Joseph in 1992, Bradley Alan in 2007; and sister, Alice Wright. The family extends many thanks to Genesys Hospice for the professional care they shared; and to all the friends and family for the loving support they have given unconditionally.
