Charles Julius Seidel, Jr.

SEIDEL, Charles Julius, Jr.  Age 72, of Flint, entered into eternal rest Thursday, April 6, 2006 at Avalon Hospice. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of his life will be held 3 PM Monday, April 10, 2006 at the Fraternal Order of Eagles Auto City Aerie 3485, G-7445 Clio Rd, Flint. Memorial contributions may be made to Avalon Hospice or Fraternal Order of Eagles Auto City Aerie 3485. Charles was born January 9, 1934 in Syracuse, NY, the son of the late Charles and Betsy Siedel. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in the 24th Infantry during the Korean War. Charles married Elva Jean (Leach) Whittington on December 28, 1991. He was employed at Fisher Body 1 until 1984 and retired from Buick City in 1999. Charles loved laughing, bowling, dancing, and singing Karaoke, but most of all he loved his grandchildren. Surviving are: wife, Elva; 3 stepsons, Steven, Brian and Mark Whittington; 9 grandchildren; 2 brothers, Henry and Gene Seidel of NY; twin sister, Janet Lannon of NJ.
