Charles Murphy

MURPHY, Charles "Chuck" Keith - Age 65, of Linden, died Friday, July 27, 2018. Funeral services will be held 12PM Friday, August 3, 2018, at Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Road, Flint. Visitation will be held 5PM-8PM Thursday and 11AM until time of service at the funeral home. Mr. Murphy was born October 12, 1952 in New Jersey, the son of the late Richard and Dawn (Smith) Murphy. Chuck proudly served his country in the US Army during the Vietnam War. He retired from General Motors Truck and Bus plant with 35 years of service. Chuck enjoyed traveling,playing poker, boating and living on Lobdell Lake. His proudest joy in life was raising his daughter Nevaeh, whom he loved dearly. He loved the Detroit Tigers, the Detroit Lions and especially family get together's and playing backgammon. Surviving are: daughter, Nevaeh of Linden; sisters, Ann Vecchiarelli of Flint, Jane (Billy) Mansfield of Lake Orion, Mary (Mark) Doyle of Flint, Tammy (Tony Lehr) Murphy of Swartz Creek; brothers, Edward Murphy of Flint, Richard (Lisa) Murphy of Ypsilanti, Thomas Murphy of Flint, Gary (Tonya Ladd) Murphy of Flint. Chuck is also survived by aunts, Emily (Clark) Buck of Ohio, Rosemary Faith of Columbiaville, Adeline Barnhart of Otisville; several nieces, nephews and cousins and many many friends.
