Charles "John" Hunt

HUNT, Charles "John" - Age 76 of Flint, passed away Wednesday, July 26, 2023.  Funeral services will be held 7:00 PM Sunday, July 30, 2023 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek (A live stream of the service will be available on John's obituary page at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com).  Pastor Mark Cox officiating.  Visitation will be held at the funeral home Sunday from 5:00 PM until the time of the service.  Those desiring may make contributions to the Genesee County Humane Society or Adopt-A-Pet.  

John was born July 27, 1946 in Flint, the son of Charles Herbert and Gertrude Amanda (Weekley) Hunt.  He was a 1966 graduate of Ainsworth High School.  He married Tammy Marie Weaver March 26, 1994 in Owosso.  He had resided in Flint his entire life.  John retired from McLaren-Flint Hospital as a material management driver.  He was an avid car buff.

Surviving are: his wife, Tammy; children, Charles John Hunt, Jr. of Flint, Kristy Clutter of Bay City, William (Jennifer) Hunt of Linden and Ryan (Geri) Benson of Muskegon; 13 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren; brother, Arthur Hunt of Roscommon; sisters, Audrey Hardy of Flint and Evelyn Tanks of Byron; sisters-in-law, Teresa (Joe) Breed of Cheboygan and Jennifer (fiance', Mike) of Flushing; brother-in-law, Kenneth (Jennifer) Weaver of Fenton; and several nieces and nephews.
