Charles Peter HOUSER

HOUSER, Charles P. "Chuck" - age 62, Flint, died Saturday, July 24, 2010 at McLaren Regional Medical Center. Services will be held 12:30 PM Wednesday, July 28, 2010 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. Interment will follow at Great Lakes National Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 6-8 PM Tuesday at the funeral home. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to Disabled American Veterans. Chuck was born September 4, 1947 in Long Island, NY, the son of Lawrence L. and Veda (Gatzmayer) Houser. He was a graduate of Flint Central High School and attended Mott Community College. Chuck was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corp serving in Vietnam where he received the Purple Heart Award. He retired from AT & T (Michigan Bell) after 25 years of service as a cable operator. Chuck was a loving son, brother and father. Surviving are: two daughters, Amy Houser of Flint, Erika Houser of Ft. Myers, FL; sister, Linda Brown of AL; long time companion, Patricia Zoellner of Montrose; aunt, Audrey Fox of Flint; several cousins.
