Charles Edward "Charlie" Hoover

HOOVER, Charles Edward "Charlie" - Age 95, of Fenton, passed away Monday, January 20, 2025. Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Monday, February 10, 2025 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton (The service will be live streamed and can be viewed via Chuck's obituary page at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com). Deacon Ron Kenney officiating. Burial in Oakwood Cemetery, Fenton. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Sunday from 4-8 PM and Monday from 11:00 AM until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to Adopt-A-Pet or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. 

Charlie was born September 28, 1929 in Flint, the son of Harry Oren and Katherine (Ryan) Hoover. He attended St. Matthew Catholic High School in Flint. He married Marilyn Ruth Benoit November 19, 1949 in Flint and she preceded him in death May 24, 2004. He had resided in Fenton since 1959 coming from Burton. Charlie retired from GM Buick Motors after 48 years of service. He enjoyed bowling, playing the lottery, golfing, drag boat racing and most of all spending time with his family. 

Surviving are: his children, Randy (Janice) Hoover of Grand Blanc, Greg (Linda) Hoover of Fenton, Charles (Terry) Hoover, Jr. of Grand Blanc and Dennis (Helena) Hoover of Delray Beach, FL; 13 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren; Connie's daughter, Laura and son, John; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. 

He was also preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Katherine Hoover; son, Jeff Hoover; Charlie's companion, Connie Ackridge; and 10 siblings.
