Charles Heide

Charles Lee "Chuck" Heide - Age 73, of Swartz Creek passed away at his home on May 21, 2022.

Funeral to be held 1 PM Tuesday May 31, 2022 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek. Visitation will take place at the funeral home at 11am until the time of service. Burial will be held 9 AM Wednesday, June 1, 2022 at Great Lakes National Cemetery, 4200 Belford Rd, Holly. In lieu of flowers those desiring may make contributions to St, Jude Children's Hospital.

Chuck was born in Mt. Clemens, MI on May 20, 1949, the son of Nick Heide and Effie (Jackson) McDonald. Chuck enlisted in the US Army in 1968 and served in Vietnam. He then worked at Consumers Energy before becoming a Court Officer. He worked as a Court Officer for the State of Michigan for over 30 years.Chuck was a strong man with a big heart.  He  loved riding his Harley, building fast cars, and socializing with many different friends. His love for his dog, Bema, was great and strong and they were good companions.  He is survived by 2 sisters, Donna Langford of Ohio and Beverly Reuther of California; his daughter Kimberly Bloss (Ryan) and grandchildren, Jordynn, Trevor and Garrett; daughter Audra Grabda (Steve) and granddaughter, Lexy; also, his special sister-in-law, Rose Lock; special niece, Nicki Lock and nephew, Dustin (Shelly) Lock; many nieces, nephews and friends. Chuck had also been a stepdad to Nicole (John) Akridge and Kyle Norman. Their relationship remained close through the years. Carolyn Norman, his former spouse remained the love of his life and was a constant friend even after separating, she never left his side.  Chuck was preceded in death by his mother and father; his son, Michael Heide and brothers, Perry Lock, Dennis Heide and Nick Heide.
