Charles Franks

FRANKS, Charles J. - Age 87, of Mio, formerly of Fenton, passed away Friday, November 4, 2016 at the Villa of Rose City. The family will receive friends from 10am-2pm & 4-8pm Thursday, November 17, 2016 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Heartland Hospice of West Branch. Charles was born June 19, 1929 to Joseph and Eleanor (Harrington) Franks and was raised by Joseph and Myrtie (Bruno) Franks. He was a 1948 graduate of Fenton High School. He lived most of his life in the Fenton area. Charles retired from Consumers Power Company in 1991 after 41 years of service. He and Beverly moved to Mio in 1992 to live on the Ausable River where he enjoyed retirement. Surviving are: his wife of 60 years, Beverly (Scheitler); youngest son, Donald Franks of Linden; brother, Theodore Franks of Fenton; half-brother, Fred Patton of Rock, MI; many nieces, nephews, and very good friends.
