Charles Fredrick Fitchett

FITCHETT, Charles Fredrick, age 70, of Swartz Creek, died Wednesday, May 10,2006 at McLaren Regional Medical Center after a long illness. Funeral Services will be held 10AM Saturday, May 13, 2006 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd. Swartz Creek.  Rev. Leonard Gamber officiating. Burial in Flint Memorial Park, Mt. Morris.  Visitation will be held 1-4 and 6-9PM Friday at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers those desiring may make contributions to the American Cancer Society.  Mr. Fitchett was born in Flint on November 4, 1935, the son of Clarence and Eunice (Goodman) Fitchett.  He was a Flint Northern High School Graduate and then married Mary Walters September 25, 1965 in Flint.  He had resided in Swartz Creek since 1969 coming from Flint.  He retired from Sears and Roebuck Co. in 1987 after 28 years of service.  Surviving are:  wife, Mary; 2 sons, Brent of Swartz Creek and Kirk of Kinross; mother, Eunice Stoneburner of Flint; sister, Linda and husband Michael Harvey of Flint; nieces, Michelle and husband Nyle Chojnacki and Lisa (Fitchett) Gates; nephew, Paul Harvey; uncles, Gerald and Robert Fitchett; aunt, Joyce Tuuri.  He was preceded in death by his daughter, Kay Lynn; son, Chuck, Jr. and father, Clanence Fitchett.  Friends may share their online condolences or post a tribute at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
