Charles "Charlie" Feldman

FELDMAN, Charles "Charlie" - age 91, of Flint, died Friday, January 25, 2008 at Genesys Hospice Care Center. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Sunday, January 27, 2008 at Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd., Grand Blanc Twp. with Mr. Leonard Meizlish officiating. Interment will follow at Machpelah Cemetery, Flint. The family will be sitting Shiva Sunday through Tuesday with services at 7 PM at their residence. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to Congregation Beth Israel, Hadassah or Genesys Hospice. Mr. Feldman was born December 1, 1916 in Flint, the son of William and Lena (Krause) Feldman. He married Bessie Shapiro on December 31, 1941 in Flint. Mr. Feldman was a veteran of World War II. He founded C & B Tire Company in 1962 in Flint. Mr. Feldman was a member of Congregation Beth Israel, B'nai Brith, Jewish War Veterans and the American Legion. He was an avid fisherman and lover of wildlife. Surviving are: wife of 66 years, Bessie; son Steven Feldman and wife, Reta of Flint; daughter, Susan and husband, Allen Burdowski of Bellmore, NY; nephew, Jerome Feldman and wife, Luann; grandchildren, Daniel Feldman, Joseph, Lauren and Courtney Burdowski; two sisters-in-law, Goldie Klein of Flint, Sarah Feldman of Flint; nieces and nephews, Adele Bark, Sheryl Klein, Ada, Sara, Stuart, Shayna, and Molly Feldman, Sandy Sarnevitz and Karen Liss. His parents and two siblings, Harry Feldman and Elsie Rosenbaum, preceded him in death. The family extends a special thank you to the staff of Genesys Hospice for their care and compassion.
