WILSON, Charles Edward - Age 86, of Gaines, died Wednesday, February 3, 2021. A private family service will be held1 PM Wednesday February 10 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek, a live stream of the service will be available at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. A public visitation will be held 4PM - 8PM Tuesday and 12PM until time of service Wednesday. Charles was born October 2, 1934 in Doniphan, MO. the son of Willie and Mary (Little) Wilson. He married Janet Hutchison in Flint on August 4, 1956. Charles retired from Bentley Community Schools with 25 years of service. He was a lifelong supporter of Bentley High School, Western and Ferris State Universities Football, following his son's career. Surviving are: wife of 65 years, Janet of Swartz Creek; daughter, Diane (Mark) Stefan of Gaines; son, Duane Wilson of Saline; grandchildren, Jessica (John) Tradii of Clinton Twp., Melissa (Gavin) Cloutier of Grand Blanc, Rachael Hille of TN; great grandchildren, Lyla, Luke, Benjamin, Alexander. He is also survived by his siblings, Melvin Wilson of MO, Alice Kounce of FL, Tom Wilson of FL; many nieces and nephews.
