Charles "Chuck" Pattan, age 85, long-time resident of Fenton, passed away on Thursday November 7, 2024.
Funeral services will be held 1 PM Wednesday, November 13, 2024 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton. Visitation will be from 11 AM until the time of service on Wednesday. Interment will follow the service at 2:30 PM at Great Lakes National Cemetery, 4200 Belford Rd., Holly.
Chuck was born January 19, 1939, the son of the late William “Mort” and Mary (VanWagoner) Pattan. After attending Fenton High School, he proudly served the United States Navy aboard the USS William M Wood alongside his brother, Bill, until his honorable discharge in 1959. He worked for 31 years at GM Truck and Bus until his retirement in 1990. He enjoyed the Lake Fenton lake life, was a teller of tall tales and had a great laugh.
He married Michele “Mikki” G. Smith on May 1, 1993 and devoted much of his retirement to Mikki, his grandchildren and his dogs.
He is survived by sons Rod, Dan, James, and Mike Pattan; daughters Kristen (John) Purdy, Kelly (Tom) Marks, and Kaitlen (James) Browne; and his beloved grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his bride Mikki.
