Charles Raymond Bausick Sr., Age 89, of Fenton, MI, was called home on July 18th, 2021, at the Cornerstone Hospice in Traverse, FL. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Monday, July 26, 2021 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton. Pastor Dawn Russell officiating. Burial in Fairview Cemetery, Linden. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Sunday from 4-8 PM, where a V.F.W. Memorial Service will be held at 7 PM held under the auspices of Fenton V.F.W. Curtis Wolverton Post #3243 and a Masonic Service will be held at 7:30 PM held under the auspices of the Linden Masonic Lodge #206 F.&A.M. Those desiring may make contributions to the American Cancer Society.
He was born on May 18th, 1932 to Verdie Rosetta Pace Bausick and Arthur Cecil Bausick in Flint, MI. Charles joined the United States Army in 1947 and served 6 years in Japan and Korea. He was a veteran of the Korean War. He was a member of the Fenton VFW Curtis Wolverton Post #3243 and a member of the Linden Masonic Lodge #206 F.&A.M. While he was active duty, he married the love of his life, Bertha Evelyn Hyde and they were married for 49 years. Together they raised 2 sons, Charles Raymond Bausick Jr. and Denis Arthur Bausick. He worked for General Motors and he retired in 1978.
Charles or known as Charlie by his friends loved people and was a friend to all. Charlie was an avid golfer and loved to fish and hunt. He loved his family and was a great son, husband, brother, father, grandpa, and great-grandpa.
He is survived by his sons, Charles Raymond Bausick Jr. (Kim Marie) of Cascade, CO; Denis Arthur Bausick of Fenton, MI; sister, Hazel Marie Bausick-Remagen of Paragould, AR; grandchildren, Karley (Bradley Ron) Renee Perez of Fort Campbell, KY; Chad Raymond Bausick of Cascade, CO; great-grandchildren, Mackenzie Marie Erpelding and Brody Ray Hall; many nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Bertha Evelyn Hyde; parents, Verdie Rosetta Pace-Bausick, Arthur Cecil Bausick; brothers, Cecil Wayne Bausick (died at age 2), Richard Bausick, Jim Bausick; sisters, Dorothy Lorraine Bausick-Edmonds, Bonnie Bausick-Hammersley.
