Charles Lewis Hayden 'Bud'

HAYDEN, Charles Lewis 'Bud' - Age 77 of Swartz Creek, died Wednesday, January 17, 2007 at his residence. Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Saturday, January 20, 2007 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek with Pastor Ed Emmerling officiating. Burial will follow in Crestwood Memorial Cemetery. Visitation 2-4 and 6-8 PM Friday and 12 PM until service time Saturday at the funeral home. Those desiring may give memorial contributions to the Westside Golden Gophers. Charles was born January 31, 1929 in Flint, son of Charles Warren and Norine (Lewis) Hayden. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. Mr. Hayden was employed by G.M., where he retired in 1991 after 37 years of service. He was a member of Westside Baptist Church and U.A.W. Local 1292. Surviving are: Daughters, Sherry Hayden and husband, Mike Keeler of Flint, Charlotte and husband, Don Spooner of Flint; 2 Granddaughters, Mary and Rachel Spooner; Brothers, Cleatus Hayden and Roland Hayden. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Mary in 1997; brother, Doug Hayden. We will miss his great stories.
