Charlene Marie Jaynes

Jaynes, Charlene Marie - Age 74, of Fenton, died February 21, 2025. There will be no services. There will be a gathering in the Summer. 

Charlene was born March 8, 1950 in Garden City, Michigan, the daughter of Louis Jacob Gatlin and Mary Joan (Townsend) Gatlin. 

Charlene loved Christmas, and anything to do with Christmas, especially Christmas music. She was a big fan of Elvis, movies, and music in general. She enjoyed sewing, often making clothes for her family, Halloween costumes and helping by lending her hand sewing with school projects. She enjoyed playing darts and Euchre with family and friends. She was the neighborhood Mom to all when her kids were growing up, and this continued into their adult life with their friends as well. She touched the lives of everyone she met in a special way. She was very independent and young at heart. 

Surviving are: four children, Tony (Stacy) Jaynes, Tracey (Adam) Allen, Stacey Jaynes (Orval Padgett Jr.), Tonya (Greg) Eastman; many grandchildren, many great-grandchildren; sister Vicki (Bryan) Foksinski; brother-in-law, Tom Gilbert; many nieces and nephews; and many great-nieces and great-nephews; and extended family in Utah. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Darlene (Bobby) Kelsey, Mary Gilbert, Karen Clark; brother Hank (Lynn) Gatlin; and former husband, Tony Jaynes.
