Cecilio Zuniga

ZUNIGA, Cecilio, Jr.  Age 64, of Lennon, died Thursday, October 7, 2004 at Genesys Health Park. Funeral mass will be celebrated 11 AM Monday, October 11, 2004 at St. Mary Queen of Angels Catholic Church with Fr. Amos Wischmeyer celebrant. Interment will be held at Mt. Rest Cemetery, St. John, MI. Visitation will be from 2-4 and 6-9 PM Saturday and Sunday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek where a rosary will be prayed at 7 PM Sunday. Mr. Zuniga was born June 18, 1940 in Brownsville, TX, the son of Cecilio and Margarita (Rios) Zuniga, Sr. He married Eva Garcia on October 28, 1961. He owned and operated Poncho Construction since 1963. Mr. Zuniga was an outstanding husband and father who loved and cherished his children and grandchildren, but most of all his wife of 42 years. Surviving are: wife, Eva of Lennon; 5 children, Cecilio Zuniga III (Tracy Lynn Swallows) of Flint, Vincent Robin (Julie) Zuniga of Lennon, Mersed (Lisa) Zuniga of Flint, Eva Zuniga (Dennis Graham) of Lennon, Krisanto (Autumn) Zuniga of Flint; 9 grandchildren, Vincent, Jr., Arianna, Winter, Mersed, Jr., Kyler, Silverio, Mateo, Krisanto II, Goldyn; four siblings, Maria Martinez, Juan Jose Zuniga, Tomas Zuniga, Guadalupe Brown. He was preceded in death by: his parents; son, Mersed Pedro Zuniga in 1967; 2 brothers, Jesus and David Zuniga; sister, Juanita Zuniga.
