Cathleen Ellamae Acord

ACORD, Cathleen Ellamae - age 58, of Durand, died Thursday, September 7, 2006 at Providence Hospital, Southfield. Funeral services will be held 10 AM Monday, September 11, 2006 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek with Rev. DeWeerd Smith officiating. Interment will be follow at Deerfield Cemetery. Vistation will be held 5-8 PM Saturday and 2-4 and 6-8 PM Sunday at the funeral home. Cathleen was born September 7, 1948, the daughter of Mahlon A. and Pauline Ray (Rice) Ruby. She married Austin Acord on November 9, 1992. She enjoyed crocheting, baking and music, playing in a band with her husband for several years. She was a life-long member Lennon Wesleyan Church. Surviving are: husband, Austin; when she married Austin she became the mother of five children, Robert, Emery, Timothy (LuAnn), Rebekah, and Harold Acord; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; sister, Susan Bencheck; brother, Mahlon 'Chuck' (Brenda)Ruby; many special nieces and nephews.
