Catherine Vernier

Catherine Mary Knudson-Vernier - Age 64, of Holly, passed away on May 29, 2019 after a long illness. Services will be held 11:30 AM Friday, June 7 at Sharp Funeral Home, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton. Visitation will be 10:30-11:30 AM Friday. Those desiring may make contributions to the American Cancer Society. Catherine was born February 6, 1955 in Royal Oak. She was extremely creative, she fixed up and put a special extra touch on anything she bought. Cathy loved to cook, stencil, sew and create things for her family and friends, every season or event she went out of her way to make and design things for all of them. She designed and made decorated cakes for family birthdays, weddings, and holidays. Cathy made sun hats for Tiger baseball games and bonnets for her great nieces. She had a heart of gold, loved deeply and forgave easily. Cathy had a lot of loss in her life and was very resilient. She was always able to have a smile on her face. The best part of her life was her family, they meant everything to her. She made lifelong friendships that she considered family and maintained and managed to stay in contact with everyone. She was young, free, and fun! She is survived by: her son Lee Alexander Vernier; grandchildren Matthew, Payton and Jordan; sister Nancy Ott (Hans), brother Jason Knudson (Roxanne), and sister Rebecca Roose (George). Cathy was a beloved mother, aunt and great aunt . Beloved sister and friend that will be missed dearly.
