Catherine M. Ranney

March 8, 1917 — June 30, 2006

RANNEY, Catherine M.- Age 89, of Fenton and Flint, died Friday, June 30, 2006 at Holly Convalescent Center.  Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11:30 AM Wednesday, July 5, 2006 at the chapel of St. John The Evangelist Catholic Church, 600 N. Adelaide St., Fenton.  Rev. Fr. David Harvey celebrant.  Interment in Oakwood Cemetery, Fenton.  Visitation will be held at Sharp Funeral Homes, 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton from 2-4 and 6-9 PM Monday where a vigil service will be held at 6:30 PM and at the church from 10:30 AM until time of Mass Wednesday.  No visitation will be held Tuesday, July 4.  Contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children Hospital. Mrs. Ranney was born March 8, 1917 in Pittsburgh, PA, the daughter of Fredrick and Pearl (Heath) Hebert.  She owned and operated Trail Draperies and also was a Genesee County Deputy Sheriff.  She was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church in Flint and enjoyed traveling and ceramics.  Surviving are:  2 daughers, Barbara and husband Neil Leuneberg of Linden, Jody Ranney of Los Angeles, CA; 5 grandchildren, Mark Wagner of Charlotte, Michael Wagner of Los Angeles, CA, Michelle Masterson of Fenton, Todd and wife Renee' Leuneberg of Swartz Creek, Sandra and husband Keith Townsend of Mt. Morris; 13 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren; 2 sisters, Deema Yanek of Grosse Pointe, Irma and husband Douglas Germanine of Oscoda; many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents and grandson, Matthew Wagner.
