RANNEY, Catherine M.- Age 89, of Fenton and Flint, died Friday, June 30, 2006 at Holly Convalescent Center. Â Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11:30 AM Wednesday, July 5, 2006 at the chapel of St. John The Evangelist Catholic Church, 600 N. Adelaide St., Fenton. Â Rev. Fr. David Harvey celebrant. Â Interment in Oakwood Cemetery, Fenton. Â Visitation will be held at Sharp Funeral Homes, 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton from 2-4 and 6-9 PM Monday where a vigil service will be held at 6:30 PM and at the church from 10:30 AM until time of Mass Wednesday. Â No visitation will be held Tuesday, July 4. Â Contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children Hospital. Mrs. Ranney was born March 8, 1917 in Pittsburgh, PA, the daughter of Fredrick and Pearl (Heath) Hebert. Â She owned and operated Trail Draperies and also was a Genesee County Deputy Sheriff. Â She was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church in Flint and enjoyed traveling and ceramics. Â Surviving are: Â 2 daughers, Barbara and husband Neil Leuneberg of Linden, Jody Ranney of Los Angeles, CA; 5 grandchildren, Mark Wagner of Charlotte, Michael Wagner of Los Angeles, CA, Michelle Masterson of Fenton, Todd and wife Renee' Leuneberg of Swartz Creek, Sandra and husband Keith Townsend of Mt. Morris; 13 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren; 2 sisters, Deema Yanek of Grosse Pointe, Irma and husband Douglas Germanine of Oscoda; many nieces and nephews.
