Catherine L. ALLISON

ALLISON, Catherine L. - Age 90, of Gaines, died Friday, November 5, 2010 at her residence. Services will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, November 13, 2010 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until the time of service. Those desiring may make contributions to the Humane Society of the United States or USO. Catherine was born September 27, 1920 in Ironton, OH, the daughter of George and Lydia (Kuehne) Loyer. She was married to Donald E. Allison on August 29, 1942; he preceded her in death on October 31, 1993. She was a volunteer for Easter Seals and made lap robes for nursing homes. Mrs. Allison was a Cub Scouts Den Mother and active in the Scouts for many years. Surviving are: children, Donald and wife Mary Allison, James and wife Nancy Jo Allison, Betty Wright, John Allison; 11 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.
