Catharina W. Verburg

VERBURG, Catharina W. Kitty  Age 62, of Fenton, died Sunday, September 4, 2005 at Rockwell Memory Impaired Facility. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Thursday, September 8, 2005 at Tyrone Covenant Presbyterian Church, 10235 White Lake Rd, Fenton with Pastor James Mascow officiating. Interment will follow at Colwell Cemetery. Visitation will be held 2-5 and 6-9 PM Wednesday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton and from 10 AM until the time of the service Thursday at the church. Kitty was born October 1, 1942 in the Utrecht, Netherlands, the daughter of Albertus and Catharina (Melder) Schuurman. She married Gerrit J. Verburg on February 10, 1966 in the Netherlands. Kitty had resided in Fenton since 1979. She received a nursing degree in Holland. Kitty was a member of Tyrone Covenant Presbyterian Church, where she was a Deaconess and involved in bible study groups and many volunteer activities through the church. Surviving are: husband, Gerrit of Fenton; daughter, Annette and husband, Jason Jones of Dexter; four sisters, Ine Schuurman of the Netherlands, Trudy and husband, Casey Veerman of Canada; Anneke Van Eck; Wiena Schuurman, both of the Netherlands; brother, Eiko Schuurman of the Netherlands; many nieces and nephews.
