McBride, Carolynn - Age 78, of Burton, died July 8, 2016 at her residence. Funeral services will be held 1 PM Tuesday, July 12 at the Flint Baptist Temple, 1430 E. Bristol Rd., Burton. Interment in Davison Cemetery. Visitation will be 3-8 PM Monday at Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd., Flint, and 12-1 PM Tuesday at the church Those desiring may make contributions to the Carolynn McBride Memorial Fund. Carolynn was born December 29, 1937 in Flint the daughter of Sheridan and Ellen (Connis) Morse. She had worked for Value City for over 25 years. She was an active member of Flint Baptist Temple, working on the church bus and encouraging children to attend church, teaching Sunday School, and singing in the choir. Surviving are: four children Lisa (Dan ) Matzenbach of Davison, David (Teresa) Cox of Burton, Daniel Cox (Dennis Glutz) of Virginia, James (Michelle) Cox of Flint; 13 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; siblings, Eleanor Garrett, Bill Tabor, Marie Willett, Sue Hagensen; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband Merrill Cox; second husband Glen McBride; son Michael Cox; daughter Denise Ball; brother, Sheridan Morse; sister Gloria Douglas Frederick.
