Carolyn Sharp

SHARP, Carolyn Helen - Age 84, of Gaines, died Tuesday, October 1, 2019.  Funeral services will be held 11 AM Monday, October 7, 2019 at Swartz Creek United Methodist Church, 7400 Miller Road, Swartz Creek.  Dr. Gary Glanville officiating.  Burial in Fairview Cemetery, Linden.  Visitation will be held at Sharp Funeral Home, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek Sunday from 3-5 PM and at church Monday from 10 AM until the time of the service.  Those desiring may make contributions to Oliver Woods Assisted Living and Memory Care, 1310 W. Oliver St, Owosso, MI 48867.  Carolyn was born August 25, 1935 in Birmingham, the daughter of Samuel Newton and Helen (McClelland) Huff.  She married Curtis L. Sharp February 4, 1956 in Duffield and he preceded her in death September 20, 2003.  She was a member of Swartz Creek United Methodist Church.  Surviving are: brothers, Rev. Ronald Huff of Ohio, Robert (Bonnie) Huff of Owosso, and Gary (Juanita) Huff of Owosso; sister, Betty Ann McNeill of Arizona; sisters-in-law, Laura Strothkamp of Missouri, Dorothy Jones of Gaines and Grace Huff; and several nieces and nephews.  She was also preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Carol Marie Sharp; brothers, Samuel Carlton and Rickey Huff; sister, Mary Lou Gillette.  The family wishes to extend special thanks to Oliver Woods Retirement Village and Grace Hospice and their staffs for the special care given to Carolyn.  Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
