McManama, Carolyn Ann - age 87, of Flushing, passed away February 17, 2025. Private services will be held. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make memorial contributions to WCMU Public Television (www.wcmu.org/television/) or the Alliance for the Great Lakes (www.greatlakes.org). Carolyn was born December 19, 1937 in Flint, the daughter of Ernest and Celia (Bakkala) Ivey. She married Jerry O. McManama on November 7, 1959 and he preceded her in death on August 7, 1994. Carolyn was a talented artist and an avid reader. She loved flowers and enjoyed the 10 years she worked at Flushing Florist. Surviving are: three daughters, Julie McManama of Flushing, Lisa Piatek of Oscoda, and Kristy (Scott) Person of South Lyon; She took great joy in her role of grandmother and was extremely proud of her four grandchildren, Keagan & Aidan Piatek and Cade & Megan Person; siblings, Dale (Brenda) Ivey and Susan (Bruce) Rau; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, and her sister, Peggy Neville. The family extends a special thank you to McLaren Nursing Staff and Respiratory Staff as well as McLaren Hospice for their care and support.
