Carolyn Jo KAUFMAN

KAUFMAN, Carolyn Jo - Age 78, of Linden died on Tuesday, June 21, 2011 at her home. Funeral services will be held at 3 PM Monday June 27, 2011 at Linden Presbyterian Church, 119 W. Broad St., Linden. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will be held 5-8 PM Saturday, 1-3 & 5-8 PM Sunday at Sharp Funeral Home, Linden Chapel, 209 E. Broad St., Linden with an O.E.S Memorial Service at 7 PM Sunday. Also visitation from 2PM until the time of service at the church Monday. Those desiring may make contributions to Linden Presbyterian Church or Linden Historical Society Chair Lift Fund. Carolyn was born August 16, 1932 in Kokomo, IN the daughter of Elza Clarence and Olive Margaret (Miller) Bennett. She was married to Roger Kaufman on January 24, 1953. Carolyn's love for her family was evident in her attendance at most activities and events that involved her children or grandchildren. Carolyn and Roger were world travelers and avid MSU Spartan fans. She enjoyed golfing, skiing, snow-mobiling and working on her computer where she captured family events and chronicled her travels by making DVD's. Carolyn was secretary for Linden Schools for many years. She was proud to say she served under several Superintendents. Carolyn was a member of the Order of Eastern Stars, Linden Presbyterian Church in which she belonged to the Women's Circle and Women's Association, and the Linden Historical Society where she served as secretary for several years. Surviving are: husband, Roger; children, Michael Keith (Beth) Kaufman, Kenneth Allen (Lee) Kaufman, Julie Christine (Tim) Kaufman-Paulson: grandchildren, Kelsie, Sarah, Angie, Brian, Ashley, Rachael, Darci; great-grandchildren, Aaron and Judah; sisters, Jean Watkins and Mary Guibord. She was preceded in death by her parents and step-father, Ray Hite. Carolyn touched so many lives, and was dearly loved by all who knew her.
