Caroline Lenora SUCHY

SUCHY, Caroline Leona - Age 73, of Lennon, died Tuesday, June 9, 2009 at Avalon Hospice, after a courageous 16 year battle with cancer. Funeral services will be 1PM Friday, June 12, 2009 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek, Rev. Brian Hansen officiating. Interment Greenwood Cemetery, Vernon. Visitation will be 6-8PM Wednesday and 1-8PM Thursday. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society. Caroline was born January 6, 1936 in Flint, Michigan, the daughter of John L. and Velma Raby. She married Edward Suchy in Flint on May 9, 1955. Mrs. Suchy was a graduate of Flint Northern High School. She retired from McLaren Hospital in 1996 and was active with the Durand Eagles. Surviving are: husband, Edward of Lennon; children, Cheryl Ann Suchy and husband Michael Wiles of Ypsilanti, Edward Alan (Barbara) Suchy of Burton, Cathy Ann (William) McQuarters of Fenton, Robert Alan (Brenda) Suchy of Nampa, Idaho; 12 grandchildren; brother, Kenneth Raby of Lupton; sisters, Marjorie Hatfield of Montrose, JoAnne Nielson of Texas; numerous nieces and nephews; and beloved cat, Simba.
