Carole Kinloch

KINLOCH, Carole Jean - Age 84, of Flint Township, passed away Wednesday, October 12, 2022.  Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Monday, October 17, 2022 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road Swartz Creek (A live stream of the service will be available on Carole's obituary page at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com).  Pastor Paul Ytterock officiating.  Burial in Sunset Hills Cemetery, Flint.  Visitation will be held at the funeral home Sunday from 4-8 where a Order of Eastern Star Memorial will be held at 7:00 PM; and visitation Monday from 12:00 PM until the time of the service. Those desiring may make contributions to the Order of Eastern Star, Grand Chapter of Michigan Charitable Fund.

Carole was born July 23, 1938 in Chicago, IL, the daughter of Paul and Dorothy (Christiansen) Dubbs.  She was a 1956 graduate of Roger City High School.  She married William Matthew Kinloch November 27, 1959.  She had resided in the Flint area for the past 63 years.  Carole was an active member of First Presbyterian Church in Flint and was a lifetime member of the Order of Eastern Star.  She enjoyed baking (she was well known for her cookies), feeding the birds, camping, playing games, and most of all spending time with her grandchildren.

Surviving are: her husband, William; daughter, Katherine (David) Whetsell of Wesley Chapel, FL, Matthew (Tammy) Kinloch of Swartz Creek, and Andrew (LouEllen) Kinloch of Grand Ledge; 12 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren; sister, Christy (Paul) Prell of Hawks, MI; brothers, Paul Dubbs of Roger City and Jim (Heather) Dubbs of East Lansing; brother-in-law, Art Viecchi; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Billy Kinloch; daughter, Annette Kinloch; sister, Karen Viecchi; sister-in-law, Donna Dubbs.  Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
