SCHOENDORFF, Carol Ann Watson, 73, died June 29, 2019 at home surrounded by her family and constant canine companion, Butterscotch Sundae. Carol combated the immune disease resulting from stem cell transplant to replace her bone marrow (2015) after finding Leukemia, first in summer of 2013. Born May 29, 1946 at Lansing, MI to Roger and Catherine Watson of Grand Ledge, she moved to Swartz Creek with her family and was a 1964 Graduate of Swartz Creek H.S. She earned a Bachelor of Business Leadership degree in 1997. She retired from Delphi Automotive Systems, Troy, MI. She was a buyer of worldwide corporate services, benefits and travel. Carol and Paul were married at Holy Redeemer church in Burton, MI in 1967; having two children, Susan McCord and Tony (Christine) Schoendorff. All of them survive her, along with grandchildren Jessica-Rachelle, Mallory-Catherine and Brody-Campbell. Also surviving is sister Ruth G. Beigle, Torrance, CA; sister Virginia Sablain is deceased. A more extensive obituary will be found on the Obituary page of Sharp Funeral & Cremation Center, www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
This is an unavoidably broad invitation to the many, many people too numerous to invite personally. Everyone who was a part of Carol’s professional and/or home life — and all of your families — are sincerely and eagerly urged to attend these celebrations.
Honors will begin with visitation at 4:00 PM in the funeral chapel. This is the opportunity for people to offer Spiritual Expressions and prayers in the comfort, dignity and ambiance of the chapel. Individuals may express a tribute or eulogy.
The Celebration of Life will move to the large conference facilities of Brick Street of Grand Blanc, 1223 East Grand Blanc Road (48439.) There, many happy stories and memories of Carol’s life and ours will commence that major part of the day. Music, laughter, pictures, videos, and open mic are planned.
Buffet will be served, with access to spacious rooms and beautiful outdoor patio, since people might retire to visit among themselves. Food and all beverages will be offered most of the time that the restaurant is open for conventional business.
While we picture a “soiree,” the comfortable venue welcomes those dressed casually, so that your visit will be relaxed and convenient. Circumstances precluded celebrating our 50th Wedding Anniversary in 2017 and afterwards. Now, it is appropriate to combine these occasions for the ultimate celebration of the love that endured our vows and promises.
