REEDER, Carol Jean - age 79, of Swartz Creek, died Friday, January 30, 2015 at Maple Woods Manor in Clio. Services will be held 7 PM Wednesday, February 4, 2015 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek with Chaplain Steve Hittle officiating. The family will receive friends from 5 PM until 7 PM Wednesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Swartz Creek VFW Post #3720. Carol was born October 25, 1935 in Warfield, KY, the daughter of Michael and Eula (Meade) Lawyer. She had been the bar manager at Swartz Creek VFW Post 3720 and was a lifetime member of their Ladies Auxiliary. Carol was very social and enjoyed social games such as pool, bowling, cards and bingo. She was a loving caring and compassionate person. Surviving are: four daughters, Sandra Kay Lawyer of Portsmouth, OH, Nancy Sotile of Clanton, AL, Linda Pardiac of Michigan, Connie Bueche of Swartz Creek; three step-children, Judy Mason of Attica, OH, Patty (Barry) Franklin of Dublin, OH, Larry Reeder of Berea, KY; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Ruth Lawyer of CA; nieces, nephews and other family members. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, John Lawyer; and son-in-law, Paul Bueche. The family extends a special thank you to the staff of Maple Woods Manor, staff of Heartland Hospice and grandson, Ryan Bueche, her "little buddy" for their loving care.
