KIRBY, Carol Jean Age 79, of Belleville, formerly Grand Blanc, passed away Friday, June 22, 2012. Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Monday, June 25, 2012 at Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Road, Flint, with Chaplain Hank Messing officiating. Burial in Crestwood Memorial Cemetery, Grand Blanc. Visitation will be held at the funeral home 11:30AM Monday until time of service. Those desiring may make contributions to Friends of Michigan Animals, 51299 Arkona, Belleville, MI 48111. Carol was born November 19, 1932 in Princeton, IL, the daughter of Clyde and Lillian Alice (Hull) Pavey. She graduated from Terre Haute High School. She married Arthur J. Kirby June 30, 1951 in Flint and he preceded her in death April 13, 1991. Carol retired as a medical secretary working for Dr. Richard Michelson, Dr. Nelson Schafer and Dr. Donald Nitz. She had resided in Belleville since 2003 coming from Grand Blanc. Surviving are: 3 children, Steven and wife Christine Kirby of Lexington, MI, Sharon Totten and her friend, Neal Robson of Belleville and Richard Kirby of Columbia, TN; 4 grandchildren, Dawn and husband Dennis Jinsky of Novi, Todd and wife Heather Kirby of Flower Mound, TX, Tami Goins of Belleville and Alyssa Kirby and fiance' Garey Boyd of Grand Blanc; 9 great grandchildren, Kelsie, Kaylie, Alison, Chloe, Noah, Samuel, Emma, Colby and Lola; special friend, Vivian Ingram of Belleville. She was also preceded in death by her father, Clyde Pavey; mother, Lillian and step father, Chuck Hamilton. Online tributes may be posted on the obituaries page of www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
