JOHNSON, Carol Loretta - Age 93, of Swartz Creek, died Wednesday, October 6, 2021. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Monday, October 11, 2021 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek (A live stream of the service will be available on Carol's obituary page at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com). Pastor Carol Blair Bouse officiating. Burial in Sunset Hills Cemetery, Flint. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Sunday from 4-8 PM and 1PM until time of service on Monday. Carol was born June 13, 1928 in Flint, the daughter of Carroll and Loretta (Webster) Manser. She was a 1946 graduate of Flint Central High School. She married Ray Johnson September 10, 1949 in Flint and he preceded her in death January 12, 1995. She was a member of Hope Methodist Church in Flint. Carol was also a member of the Fairwinds Girl Scouts Council and the Coachmen Camping Club. She was an active volunteer at the Carmen Ainsworth Senior Center.
Surviving are: her children, Kathy Simpson of Adelaide, Australia, Scott (Cherie) Johnson of Roscommon, and Barb (Jerry) Ellis of Swartz Creek; Grandchildren, Tim (Andrea) Johnson of Holly, Tom (Christina) Johnson of Nashville, TN, Kim Allen (Kevin Monroe) of Greenfield, OH, Ross Simpson of Australia, Chris Johnson of Mt. Pleasant, Jen Simpson of Australia, Rebecca (Richie) Miller of Swartz Creek, Jenn (Josh) Oskey of Swartz Creek, and Cara (Claude) Green of Mancelona; 15 great grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; sister, Pat Thomann; and brother, Richard Manser. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
