Carol Host

HOST, Carol Arlene - Age 85, of Flint Township, died Tuesday, March 15, 2022.  Funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Monday, March 21, 2022 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek.  Deacon Rod Amon officiating.  Burial in Sunset Hills Cemetery, Flint.  Visitation will be held at the funeral home Monday from 12:00 PM until the time of the service.

Carol was born March 8, 1937 in Cheboygan, the daughter of George and Edith (Smith) Ketzbeau.  She attended Hoover High School.  She had resided in Flint her entire life.  Carol retired from GM Flint Metal Fab after 22 years of service.  She enjoyed yard work, dancing, singing around the house, barbeques, and fishing.

Surviving are: her children, Sherry Westphal of Swartz Creek and Michael Rodney Westphal of Flint; grandchildren, Jason (Lynn) Brown, Karissa (Thomas) Simons, Justin Hayes, and Shane Hayes all of Flint; great grandchildren, Jesse, Marayna, Mylee, and Trey; sisters, Shirley McLoud of Cheyboygan and Sharon Cumpata of Flint; step sisters, step brother, several nieces and nephews; and her favorite aunt, Loretta Rocheleau.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Bill Ketzbeau; sister, Virginia Gear; nieces, Vickie Lewis,  Lori Taylor, and Sheree Duffney; and great granddaughter, Makayla Weigandt.  Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
