HASENOHRL, Carol Mary - Age 92, of Swartz Creek, died Sunday, October 25, 2020. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11:00 AM Saturday, October 31, 2020 at St. Mary Queen of Angels Catholic Church, Swartz Creek. Fr. Louis Ekka celebrant. Visitation will be held at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek Friday from 4-8 PM where a Rosary will be prayed at 7 PM and at church Saturday from 10:00 AM until the time of the Mass. Those desiring may make contributions to Children International, Paralyzed Veterans of America, or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
Carol was born April 13, 1928 in Danbury, IA, the daughter of Pierre Wayne and Marice J. (Adams) Keitges. She married Gordon W. Hasenohrl November 11, 1950 in Danbury, IA and he preceded her in death July 8, 1999. She was a graduate of Danbury Public School in Danbury, IA., She earned an Associates Degree from the College of Saint Mary in Omaha, Nebraska, and a Bachelor's Degree in Public Health from the University of Michigan Flint. Carol retired from St. Joseph Hospital as a Medical Technologist after 30 years of service. She was a member of St. Mary Queen of Angels Catholic Church, and she also had been a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church and St. John Vianney Catholic Church. As a young girl Carol sang opera on the radio. She was also a member of the choir at St. Pius X Catholic Church and a member of the Altar Society at St. John Vianney Catholic Church.
Surviving are: her sons, Joseph W. Hasenohrl of Flint, William G. (Kathi) Hasenohrl of Grand Blanc, and Brittan A. Hasenohrl of Haslett; daughter, Amelia M. Hasenohrl of Traverse City; grandchildren, Kym Cole of Traverse City, Melissa Russell of Traverse City, and Peyton Hasenohrl of Chicago; grand grandson, Cole Weber; sisters, Kay Aarons of Scottsdale, AZ and Julie Keitges of Berkley, CA; and several nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Mary Christine "Tina" Russell; sister, Dr. Elizabeth "Beth" See; and brother, Dr. Pierre "Perry" Keitges. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
