Carol Gray

Gray, Carol  Sue - Age 80, of  Swartz Creek, died November 5, 2021. A memorial gathering will be announced for Spring of 2022. Arrangements are being handled by Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. In lieu of flowers those desiring may make contributions to the Autism Society. Carol  was born April 19, 1941 in Flint the daughter of Johnson Frank Hackney and Donna Marie (Austin) Hackney. She graduated from Durand High School in 1959 and the Hurley School of Nursing 1962. She was married to Ronald Gray in 1975; he preceded her in death in 1991. Carol was a Registered Nurse retiring from Hurley Medical Center in 1988 with 25 years of service. Surviving are: two step-daughters, Greta (Dennis) Bentley of Sanford, Samantha Cavazos of Swartz Creek; grandchildren, Kristina Couterier, Ted and Darren Bentley, Marshall and Miranda Cavazos,  Darla Sanders, and Sean Andrews; fourteen great-grandchildren; four siblings, Marcia (Norman) Stanick of Midland, Eugene (Natalie) Hackney of Mt. Pleasant, Glen (Catherine) Hackney of Mt. Pleasant, Dale (Linda) Hackney of Durand; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and step-son Aaron Guy.
