Carol Sue Erickson

ERICKSON, Carol Sue - Age 80, of Gaines, passed away Sunday, September 24, 2023.  Per Carol's request cremation has taken place and no local services will be held.  In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to the Alzheimer's Association or the Parkinson's Foundation.  

Carol was born April 8, 1943 in Prescott, the daughter of Carl Leslie and Edith Rose (Wieshuhn) Erickson.  She was a 1961 graduate of Whittemore Prescott High School.  She had resided in Gaines for the past 49 years coming from Byron.  She retired after 26 years of service from the State of Michigan Department of Environmental Quality as a Departmental Tech.  Carol served on the Gaines Village Council and was active in the U.A.W. Local 6000, representing the State of Michigan Employee's.  She was a member of Durand Eagles, Fenton Moose Lodge and the Durand V.F.W. Auxiliary.  She enjoyed bicycling and traveling.  

Surviving are: her daughter, Karen Jackson of Lebanon, TN; son, Eric Walmsley of St. Helen; granddaughter, Tiffanie Jackson of Murfreesboro, TN; brother, Ted (Doris) Erickson of Oklahoma; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
