Carol Leola Eckstein

ECKSTEIN, Carol Leola - Of Traverse City, age 61, went to be with the Lord, Sunday, July 9, 2006 at Munson Hospital in Traverse City. Funeral service will be held 1 PM Friday, July 14, 2006 at the Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd. (just south of Hill Rd.). Rev. Thomas Mattiuzzo will officiate. Burial will follow in Flint Memorial Park, Mt. Morris. Visitation will be held 12-8 PM Thursday at the funeral home. Carol was born in Flint, raised in Clio and attended Birch Run High School, graduating in 1961. She then attended two years of Bible College in Dallas, TX. When she moved back to Flint, she worked downtown at Montgomery Ward and Smith Bridgemans and lived at the YWCA for 5 years. Carol then moved back to Clio and worked in Mt. Morris as a dispatcher for the police department, she also worked at Channel 25 TV station as a receptionist. From 1974-1976 she attended Baker College and studied Fashion Merchandising. Carol then moved to Caro, MI for ten years and most recently resided in Traverse City from 1197-2006. Carol liked art, watching TCT on television and playing games on the computer. Surviving are: her sister, Karen Healy and husband, Richard; many aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by: her mother, Agnes; father, John; sister, Patty.
