DUNBAR, Carol L.- Age 76 of Durand died Thursday December 24, 2015. Services will be held 3 PM Tuesday December 29, 2015 at Sharp Funeral Homes Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek. Reverend Darrell Ward officiating with burial following in Byron Cemetery. Visitation will take place Sunday 4-8 PM and Monday 1-4 and 5-8 PM with a Durand F.O.E. service Monday at 6 PM. Those desiring may make contributions to the Old News Boys of Shiawassee County. Carol was born March 26, 1939 in Sault Ste. Marie to Zell and Lula (Smith) Davis. She married Elton Dunbar on February 28, 1957 in Sault Ste. Marie. She was the manager of Dutch Hollow Golf Course in Durand and a member of the Durand F.O.E. Carol volunteered for the Old News Boys and loved spending time with her grandchildren. She is survived by four children; Rhonda (Mike) Keyes, Larry Dunbar, Sherri (boyfriend Dwane Manasco) Camp, Cindy (Larry) Voorhies. Eight grandchildren, five great grandchildren, and one on the way, two siblings; Joyce Castle and Delmar Davis. Extended family, Jan Williamson, Philip Williamson, Debbie Perez, and Kerri Brown. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Elton, and three siblings, Zella, Raymond, and Alva. Tributes may be shared on the obituaries page at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
