CURTIS, Carol Joyce Hunt - age 67, of Higgins Lake, formerly of Swartz Creek died Saturday, January 31, 2015 in Florida. Services will be held 3 PM Saturday, February 7, 2015 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. Visitation will be held 11 AM - 3 PM Saturday at the funeral home. Interment will be held 12 PM Sunday at Oakwood Cemetery in Higgins Lake. Carol was born December 25, 1947 in Flint, the daughter of Carl and Arlo (Almy) Blanton. She married Sherman "Red" Curtis on March 6, 1993 and he preceded her in death in 2012. Carol worked at McLaren for over 30 years and retried as the secretary to the Director of Nursing. She loved spending time at Higgins Lake and her pets. Surviving are: three children, Roger (Mary) Hunt of Swartz Creek, Steve Hunt of Grand Blanc, Tammy Hunt of Grand Blanc; five grandchildren, Alyssa, Garrett, Makenzie, Lance and Chace; the father of her children, Dennis Hunt of Flushing; and a host of other relatives and friends.
