COLE, Carol S. - age 81, of Grand Blanc, died Tuesday, January 22, 2019 at Brookdale of Grand Blanc. Funeral services will be held 1 PM Friday, January 25, 2019 at Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd., Flint with Mr. Leonard Meizlish officiating. Interment will follow at Machpelah Cemetery, Flint. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to Congregation Beth Israel. Carol was born August 28, 1937 in Toledo, OH, the daughter of Edward and Lillian (Fruitman) Wolman. She was a graduate of Scott High School and attended the University of Toledo. Carol married James T. Cole on October 12, 1962 in Toledo. She was a Librarian with the Toledo Blade newspaper from 1955-1963 and worked as the Senior Program Coordinator for the Flint Jewish Federation from 1985-2007. Carol was a member of the Congregation Beth Israel, Beth Israel Sisterhood, Hadassah, and B'nai B'rith Women. Surviving are: husband, James T. Cole of Grand Blanc; daughter, Patricia (Daniel) Smith of Auburn Hills; son, David Cole of Mesa, AZ; two grandsons, Charles and Joshua Smith; sister, Hilda Conn of Scottsdale, AZ; niece, Gail Conn of Fountain Hills, AZ; nephew, A. Michael (Kim) Conn of Grand Blanc; niece, Lisa (Richard) Eidman of Simi Valley, CA; five great-nieces and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by: her parents.
