CANADA, Carol Marie - age 87 of Flint Twp., died October 1, 2022. A memorial service will be held at 2 PM Saturday, October 8, 2022, at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek, MI 48473. The family will receive friends from 1 PM - 2 PM Saturday at the funeral home. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to Humane Society of Genesee County (https://geneseehumane.org/). Carol was born June 30, 1935, in Farmington Hills, MI, the daughter of Robert and Ruby (Newman) Bowerman. She married Dr. Donald Canada on November 30, 1984 and he preceded her in death on January 24, 2016. Carol was very passionate about horses. She was a completive trail rider with her mare, Goldstar Delight. In later years, she was very involved in animal rescue especially dogs. Carol was an ardent genealogy buff and her search for her background lead her to many visits to Ireland and many friends where her family originated near the Galway area of Ireland. Most importantly, Carol lived for her family and adored her children and grandchildren. Surviving are: three children, Laurie Pandzik of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Linda (Bruce) Seeley of Swartz Creek, and Sally (Ken) Litteral of Florence, SC; three stepchildren, Kimberly (Al) Rossi, Kyle (Penny) Canada, Kreston (Pam) Canada; 18 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Donald Canada; and grandson, Alex Pandzik. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com
