Carl Moore

MOORE, Carl Hays- Age 82, of Swartz Creek, passed away on December 6, 2016. Funeral services will be held 12 PM Saturday December 10, at Sharp Funeral Homes Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. Pastor David Boillat officiating. Burial to follow at Fairview Cemetery, Linden. Visitation will take place Friday from 12-2 PM and 4-8 PM at the funeral home. Those desiring may make contributions to the charity of one's choice. Carl was born on June 16, 1934 in Bethel Springs, Tennessee. He worked 32 years at the GM V-8 Engine Plant in Flint, retiring in 1985. Carl was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting, fishing, and gardening. He enjoyed watching NASCAR and Detroit sports. He will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed by his wife of 62 years, Patricia (Hodge) Moore; brother, Kenneth (Linda) Moore of Bethel Springs, TN, sister, Cleatous (Jimmy) Thomas of Salmer, TN; children, Gary Moore, Larry (Ronda) Moore, Sherrie (Phil) Strickland, all of Swartz Creek, Jamie Cole of Flint, Paula (Greg) Hamilton of Menifee, California; grandchildren, Chad (Tracie) Strickland, Shannon Strickland, Kayla (Joshua) Burwell, Ashley Hamilton, Tyler Hamilton, Lana Cole; and great grandchildren, Taylor Strickland and Ryan Hamilton. Carl was preceded in death by his parents, William Henry Moore and Jeffie Blanch (Archer) Moore; three sisters; six brothers. The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses who cared for Carl.
