Carl T. DOLSEN

DOLSEN, Carl T., age 80 of West Des Moines, Iowa, formerly of Flint, followed the Lord home on December 12, 2009. He was born in Flint on April 2, 1929 the son of Carl Dolsen and Dollena (Stokes) Berry and lived in Flint many years. He was employed at the A.C. Spark Plug Division, was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in the Korean conflict, a member of the V.F.W. Surviving are wife of 50 years, Ona Mae; daughter, Yvonne Marie Tyson; grandchildren: PFC Alisha M. Tyson of Fort Riley, KS, Michael J. Tyson of West Des Moines, IA, Wayne Carl Tyson of Fort Myers, FL, Great-grandchildren: Mason, Avery, Noah and Samantha. Also survived by 3 sisters and 1 brother. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Ramona, and dear friend Gerry. Yesterday he lived life to the fullest with great love, spirit and humor; today he walks the heavens in peace. Do not be sad for now he is truely home. Treasure the memories in your hearts always. Remembering his passion for family and sports--"GO BLUE" as he would say to finish, PERIOD! Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Thursday, December 17, 2009 at Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd., Grand Blanc Twp. Burial will follow at Great Lakes National Cemetery. Visitation with the family at the funeral home will be Wednesday from 11:00 A.M. to 8:00 P.M. Memorial gifts in his name are being accepted by the family.
