ALEXANDER, Candace Candy, age 52, of Flushing passed away Sunday, February 6, 2005 at Avalon Hospice after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Â Services will be 1:00 PM Saturday, February 12, 2005 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. Â Rev. Jim Nelson officiating. Â The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until the time of service Saturday at the funeral home. Â In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Candy Alexander Memorial Fund. Â Candy was born December 16, 1952 in Flint, the daughter of the late Lon and Mary (Wisda) Alexander. Â Candy was active with the Barbara Karmanos Breast Cancer Foundation and loved gardening, fishing, painting, and bear collecting. Â She spent much of her time helping others. Â Candy is survived by: Â partner Jenny Harris, mommy #2 to Jamie Lenhart; adopted mom Dorothy Harris; brothers Phillip (Carolyn) Alexander of Davison, Richard (Gaetane) Alexander of Mt. Morris; sisters Karen (Ed) Wheeler of Commerce, Teresa Leonard of Davison; special pets Tazz, Lilly, Shelby, Buddy, Zoe. Â She was preceded in death by brother Lonnie Alexander.
