GONZALEZ, Camilo Pulido "Cam" - Age 82, of Fenton died August 18, 2018 after a short illness. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 AM Wednesday, August 22, 2018 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 600 N Adelaide St., Fenton. Fr. David Harvey celebrant. Visitation will be 5-8 PM Monday and 2-4PM & 6-8PM Tuesday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton; and 10 AM until time of Mass Wednesday at the Church. There will be a K of C rosary and 4th degree Chalice service 7 PM Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the K of C Council 7418 or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Camilo was born July 22, 1936 in Laredo, Mexico the son of Pedro and Adelaida (Pulido) Gonzalez. He married Betty J. Dew on May 9, 1964. Cam worked in sales at Montgomery Wards, Art Van, Gardner White and most recently Legacy Realty. He was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church for 48 years, Knights of Columbus Council 7418, and 4th Degree Assembly 2031. Cam was the kind of man who would give you the shirt off his back without a second thought, someone many people hope to be. His number one priority was family and this extended past blood relation to include many lifelong friends. Cam loved hunting, fishing, his country, and spending time with both his grand kids and great grand kids. His loving nature will be missed, along with his sense of humor and ability to sniff out the best deals. His spirit will live on in his family who know he has just started a new chapter in his journey. Surviving are: his beloved wife of 54 years, Betty; children, Christopher (Angela) of El Cajon, CA, Kathleen of Jackson, Matthew (Donna) of Fenton, Jeffrey (Anna) of Adrian, Joshua (Rebecca) of Mundy Twp., Camila Woodworth of Fenton; special daughter, Heather Asbury of Flint; grandchildren, Sarah, Denise (Jon), Christopher, Steven, Noah, Hannah, Nicholas, Teddy, Benjamin, Timmy, Laurie, Lisa (Michael), and Dirk; great grandchildren, Gabriel, Bennett, and Jaxon; special family, Patrik and Laura Welty and children; siblings, Lupe Paz of Texas, Estella Bogardus of Florida, Irma (Wesley) Clowers of Alabama, Ruben (Silvia) of Texas, and Pedro (Alice) of Davison; many, many, nieces and nephews who loved him dearly; god daughter, Mari Gonzalez. He was preceded in death by his parents; sons, Mark and Steven; brothers, Paul Reyes and Roy Gonzalez; sisters, Annie Berlanga and Grace Zavala.
