Calvin "Cal" Rapson

December 30, 1944 — April 14, 2020

RAPSON, Calvin "Cal" Thomas - Age 75, of  Swartz Creek, died Tuesday  April 14, 2020.  A private family service will be held at a later date. Arrangements provided by Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek. Those desiring may make contributions to the Department of Veterans Services of Genesee County. Calvin was born December 30, 1944 in Bad Axe, Michigan, the son of Calvin Kerr and Flora Mary (Slavin) Rapson. He married Sandra Morin on February 2, 2002 in Las Vegas NV.  Cal worked for  the United Autos Workers as the Vice President with 40 plus years of service. Surviving are: wife  of 18 years, Sandra of Swartz Creek; daughters, Krista (John) Szafranski of Fenton, Deborah Littleton of Fenton, Julie Goforth of TN, Amie Coville of St. Claire; step-daughter, Becki Brown of Swartz Creek; grandchildren, Calvin, Grayson, Meagon, Joshua, Kristina, Samantha, Krystal, Tyler and Ava. He is also survived by his siblings, Judy Pieczynski of Linden, Katherine McDowell of Fenton, Ileen (Howard) Holsinger of Fenton, Janet (Al) Crittendon of Fenton, JoAnn Sloan of Linden, Linda (Michael) Garfield of Portage, Michael Jankowski of Fenton and many nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents; step-father Florian (Ab) Jankowski and sister, Mary Jankowski.
