C. Ward SKINNER

SKINNER, C. Ward - Age 82, of Flint Twp., died Thursday, July 29, 2010 at Avalon Hospice. Funeral services will be held 12 Noon Tuesday, August 3, 2010 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Linden Chapel, 209 E. Broad St., Linden. Rev. Terry Euper will officiate. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will be held 3-8 PM Monday. Ward was born November 6, 1927 in Linden, the son of Earl C. and Burneice (Keller) Skinner. He married Ethel M. Van Loon on July 29, 1950. She preceded him, in death, on March 19, 1999. Mr. Skinner was employed by Pontiac Motor Company, retiring in 1980. He resided in Waterford for many years, moving back to the Flint area in 2006, living closer to family. He had a lifelong interest in horses, tractors, guns and during his later life wood carving. Surviving are: brother, Floyd and wife Betty Skinner of Swartz Creek; sister, Lucille Bancroft of Linden; sister-in-law, Eleanor Skinner of Burton; sister-in-law, Gale Van Loon of Vernon; many nieces and nephews.
