EDMONDS, C. Keith - Age 83, of Swartz Creek, died on Monday, May 4, 2009 in the loving arms of his entire family at Genesys Health Park. Funeral service will be held 11AM Friday, May 8, 2009 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek, Rev. Harold Polk officiating. Interment at Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation Wednesday from 5-8PM and on Thursday from 1-3 and 5-8PM at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Calvary Presbyterian Church or The Old Newsboys. Mr. Edmonds was born March 13, 1926, the son of Virgil and Marian (Perkins) Edmonds in Bernie, Missouri. Keith graduated from Bendle High School; received a BA from Tulane University of Louisiana; a Master's degree in Education and served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He married the love of his life, Dorene Woods in Las Vegas on June 21, 1971. Mr. Edmonds was a high school Math and Science teacher with Carmen-Ainsworth Schools for 30 years, retiring in 1984. Mr. Edmonds had a strong Christian faith and had been a member of Calvary Presbyterian Church. He was also a member of Grand Blanc Masonic Lodge F&AM. Keith never had an unkind word to say to or about anyone and had never made an enemy in the world. Surviving are loving wife, Dorene; daughter, Patricia Ann and husband Garry Williams of Swartz Creek; son, William Holcomb and wife Sandra; 5 grandchildren, Angela (Nick) Willey, Jarred (Beshank) Williams, Michael Holcomb, Michelle Holcomb, Sara (Derrek) Hetzner; 4 great-grandchildren, Paige Fiebke, Nicklas Fiebke, Jaidynn Willey, Brett Hetzner; 3 nephews, Mark (Juanita) Edmonds, Tom Miron and Donn Miron; and 2 nieces, LeeAnn Miron and Patricia Oberlin.
