C. Fred Darling

DARLING, C. Fred - Age 66, of Mt. Morris Twp., died at home, Monday, April 12, 2004. Fred was born in Flint on May 28, 1937, the son of Charley and Ada (Ish) Darling. He was a lifelong resident of the area. He and Penny Lou Moore were married on April 17, 1974 in Flint. Fred retired from General Motors and later drove truck for Newcomb Produce Co. He was a member of the West Side Bible Baptist Church. Surviving is: his wife, Penny Lou Darling; his daughter, Buffy Darling; and his son, Charles Darling, both of Flint; there are 8 grandchildren, including his special Cody and Annamay Darling. Also surviving are: many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Raymond, Ronald and Russell. Services will be 10AM Friday, April 16, 2004 at the Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd. (just South of Hill Rd.), Pastor Brad Lake will officiate. Burial will follow at Flint Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5 to 9PM today and Thursday from 1 to 9PM.
